AJ Trauth

Q: How did you become involved in the field of the performing arts and how did that lead you to the role of "Twitty" on Even Stevens?

A: I started taking acting classes at my school in 5th grade.  Then when I was 11, I started taking acting classes at an acting school in Las Vegas.  A few years later, after I got an agent, I had an audition for Even Stevens.  Then four weeks later I was filming the show.

Q:  How do you feel about being in the public eye/about attention from fans? Alienated? Annoyed? Have you thought about the repercussions that come with fame?
A: As far as fans are concerned I'm always stoked when someone tells me they like my work or enjoy the show. I don't worry about the repercussions because I live life one day at a time, and whatever is supposed to happen will happen.

Q: If someone was considering going into acting, what advice would you give them?

A: Go in whole heartedly, if there's any doubt in your mind don't do it. Also you should start local and work to bigger things.

Q:  Do you think it’s kind of weird when you’re out somewhere and someone comes up to you and asks for your autograph?
A: Yea, its kind of weird. Only because I don't think of myself as a celebrity, and then when someone asks me for an autograph it throws me off.

Q: Who do you look up to as an artist and an actor/actress?

A: There are several people that I look up to both as actors and as musicians, a few of them are: Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro, Johnny Depp, Phish, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Freddie King, Lou Reed. These are just some of the artists that have had the biggest impact on me.
